Kesennuma is the port with the highest catch of bonito.The taste changes greatly depending on the season of fishing.The rising bonito (first bonito) that travels north on the Kuroshio Current has a firm and refreshing taste.On the other hand, the descending bonito (return bonito) that makes a U-turn on the Oyashio off the coast of Sanriku is popular because it is plump and fat.
